Ice Ice Baby

Today I woke up feeling incredibly tired but knowing that I had to run 20 miles with John this morning in preparation for That’s Lyth in two weeks time.

When I met John, and Ed, at the UTUP, however, the ice had caused John to have second thoughts on going for a long run.  It was incredibly slippery underfoot so a low level shorter run was the order of the day and we decided we’d try again for the 20 miler next Saturday instead.

The three of us ran to Healey Nab and then along to White Coppice.  Even the gravelly off-road trails were very icy and slippery so it was pretty slow moving.  Once at White Coppice we decided to turn around and head back along the side of Anglezarke and up the road to Yarrow.  Once we got back to Rivington, we wanted to get our mileage up to at least ten miles so we ran around the trails a little bit before going back to the cars.

Total distance – 10.35 miles
